Based on NBU Board Resolution No. 96 dated February 12, 2015, Energobank PJSC was classified as insolvent, and the Guarantee Deposit Fund's executive directorate appointed a temporary administration to the financial institution effective February 13, 2015. This was reported on the Guarantee Deposit Fund's official website.
In this regard, the Fund announces a search for potential investors who could be involved in the bank's exit from the market. The Fund is offering potential investors the following options for exiting the bank: the disposal of all or part of the bank's assets and liabilities to a receiving bank, the creation and sale of a transition bank to an investor with the transfer of the bank's assets and liabilities, or the sale of the bank as a whole.
According to Energobank's financial statements, over 54 people held deposits with it as of February 11, 2015. Total retail deposits amount to 1,1 billion hryvnias, of which approximately 500 hryvnias are deposits within the guaranteed compensation limit. Approximately 300 hryvnias are payable to depositors during the temporary administration. Foreign currency deposits account for 59,3% of total liabilities to retail depositors.
Energobank was established in 1991. As of January 1, 2014, the bank's authorized capital amounted to UAH 359,04 million, assets amounted to UAH 2,142.85 million, and the loan portfolio amounted to UAH 1,233.86 million. The bank's beneficiary is Russian businessman Anatoly Danilitsky.
It was previously reported that Energobank was not transferring funds received from Kyiv residents' bill payments to Kyivenergo.
