In Mykolaiv, employees of the Mykolaiv city prosecutor's office, together with the Mykolaiv city department for combating economic crime, detained Yuriy Bevza, director of the Mykolaiv city council's municipal enterprise "Capital Construction of the City of Mykolaiv."

The director of the municipal enterprise was detained in his office on the afternoon of September 4. According to a source, the official was caught accepting $1000, which he demanded for a lease extension.
In addition to Bevza, law enforcement officers also detained the company's lawyer.
As reported to Prestupnosti.NET by the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Mykolaiv region, criminal proceedings have been opened against Bevza and the lawyer under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("Receiving a bribe"). The penalty under this article is imprisonment for a term of eight to twelve years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years, and confiscation of property.
The police also clarified that the detained officials demanded and received 19 hryvnias as a bribe.
As a reminder, it was previously reported that on July 2, Deputy Zhaivoronok was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of 7 hryvnias. According to available information, the deputy accepted the bribe in exchange for assisting a local businessman in securing the city council's allocation of a plot of land for the installation of a retail pavilion.
As previously reported, SBU officers in the Mykolaiv region, along with prosecutors, detained Oleksandr Bondar, head of the Mykolaiv City Council's Department of Architecture and Urban Development, while accepting a bribe.
