The State Property Fund has appointed a new head of Centrenergo.

On February 26, 2021, the State Property Fund updated the management of PJSC Centrenergo, appointing Yuriy Vlasenko as acting CEO of the company, as reported on Online State Property Fund.

"The State Property Fund regained control of Centrenergo in late spring of last year. Oleksandr Korchynsky, who then headed the company, managed to lead the company out of the crisis. Centrenergo ended 2020 with a profit of over UAH 50 million, compared to a loss of UAH 2 billion in 2019. This result is a significant contribution by Oleksandr Korchynsky to the company's development. The State Property Fund is grateful to him for his leadership during this challenging period," the statement reads.

Vlasenko is known to have over 15 years of experience in management positions at energy sector enterprises and in government agencies, including as a member of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NKREKP) from 2011 to 2014.

Ранее Skelet.Org reported that The State Property Fund will challenge the court's decision to overturn the order declaring the 2018 tender for the privatization of Centrenergo invalid.
