The State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU) filed a complaint with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) against Aivaras Abromavicius, who sought to urgently replace the heads of several state-owned enterprises. This was stated on the 112 Ukraine television channel by Yevhen Astashev, head of the SPFU department.

According to Astashev, his department is concerned that Minister Abromavicius held tenders to remove the heads of some state-owned enterprises instead of combating corruption and privatizing these enterprises. The official believes that privatization is the most effective way to combat corrupt state-owned enterprise managers.

According to a representative of the State Property Fund, the management change at Centrenergo was orchestrated in the interests of Rinat Akhmetov's DTEK. Therefore, Abromavicius' actions will be subject to mandatory investigation by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

Previously, the Ministry of Economy and Trade initiated a competition to appoint heads of several state-owned enterprises. However, the competition was blocked by a court. Media reports indicate that Abromavicius planned to push through Mr. Favorov, a Russian citizen and DTEK employee, for the position of head of Centrenergo.
