On April 16, 2021, an online auction will be held for the privatization of certain property of the state institution "Irpen Correctional Center (No. 132)", located in the urban-type settlement of Kotsyubinske, Kyiv region, reports press office State Property Fund.
"The privatization object is a complex of buildings and structures with a total area of 28141,7 m² and is located in the very center of Kotsyubinske - at 1 Zheleznodorozhnaya Street. The total area of the plots occupied by the institution is 8,3 hectares.
The Irpen Correctional Facility ceased its core operations in August 2019. Maintaining closed, non-functioning facilities is unprofitable for the state, as it costs millions of hryvnias annually.
At the same time, the property offers excellent investment potential. A new residential complex has been built nearby, and a large park is nearby. The distance to the Akademgorodok metro station is only 6 km. A railway line and the Belichi station are nearby, allowing the new owner to provide excellent logistics.
The facility has a water supply and sewerage network, and electricity is supplied by two substations of 700 and 490 kW," the statement said.

The privatization is taking place as part of a joint project between the State Property Fund and the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, and involves the placement of property from 35 correctional institutions at transparent online auctions.
