The Deposit Guarantee Fund has decided that payments to clients of the bankrupt Delta Bank will be handled by only three state-owned financial institutions. Privat Bank has therefore been denied access to Delta Bank's depositor database, according to FinClub.

On October 8, 2015, the Deposit Guarantee Fund resumed deposit payments to Laguna Bank depositors. It was previously reported that the interruption in depositor payments occurred because the Deposit Guarantee Fund could not decide on the future of Delta Bank and decided to liquidate it.

It was also reported that from June 11 to September 15, 2015, Delta Bank clients had already received approximately UAH 8,4 billion from the Deposit Guarantee Fund. As of today, the Fund still has approximately UAH 8 billion to return to the bankrupt bank's depositors.

Previously, payments to Laguna Bank depositors were processed through three state-owned banks: Oschadbank, Ukrgasbank, and Ukreximbank. Kolomoisky's PrivatBank also had the right to pay out deposits.

PrivatBank was removed from the list for the second wave of payments. Kolomoisky's bank expressed surprise at this decision. The Deposit Guarantee Fund, for its part, declined to comment.
