Firtash seizes ilmenite without privatization

It could be privatized for next to nothing, or it could be free. Firtash is lobbying for the creation of a joint venture with the state based on the Irshansk Mining and Processing Plant and the Volnogorsk Mining and Metallurgical Combine. Group DF will contribute some equipment and—the latest hit—licenses.

If Yatsenyuk refuses, Firtash threatens to fire 9,000 workers at these enterprises. Firtash currently leases the land, which the state refuses to renew. Despite the lease expiring, Firtash continues to mine ilmenite for the Crimean Titan he previously stole through the privatization.
