As of October 21, the commission for the competitive selection for the position of General Director of Ukrtransnafta OJSC approved two candidates.
As a result, two people were selected out of five – Nikolai Gavrilenko and Koba Nakopiya. Curiously, the company's former CEO, Alexander Lazorko, who was selected for the selection process, did not appear at the meeting.
It's important to note that Nikolai Gavrilenko was a shareholder in the Vik-Oil gas station chain, which was acquired by TNK-BP in 2010. Koba Nakopia is a member of the Georgian parliament.
Today, October 22, it was announced that Mykola Gavrilenko has been declared the winner. Gavrilenko's candidacy still needs to be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers' Nominating Committee.
The current acting general director of Ukrtransnafta, Roman Sidorak, will remain in the directorate.
