The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) visited two appraisers who had underestimated the value of Bolshevik for Vasya Khmelnitsky by more than 1 billion hryvnias.

Two appraisers of a private company have been notified of suspicion for forging documents and understating the market value of 100% of the shares of the First Kyiv Machine-Building Plant (before 2018, the Bolshevik plant) by over UAH 1 billion, reports Ukrrudprom with reference to the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation (GBR).

"As part of the criminal investigation into possible abuse of power by officials of the State Property Fund of Ukraine during the privatization of Bolshevik on October 27, 2021, it was established that its illegal alienation from state ownership occurred at an inflated price and on the basis of forged documents. Specifically, the property valuation report used to determine the value of the plant's shares does not comply with legal requirements, as confirmed by forensic examinations," the State Bureau of Investigation stated on its Telegram channel.

These actions caused significant economic damage to the state, the Bureau notes.

The suspects are charged under Part 3 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (preparation of a knowingly false official document by an appraiser, by prior conspiracy of a group of persons). The penalty under this article is imprisonment for up to five years.

The pre-trial investigation continues.
