The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has expressed interest in Agrosvit's problems. Polumysny declined to comment.

GPUThe Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has requested for review the materials of all criminal proceedings involving the corporate raid on one of the largest agricultural holdings. A source in the agency's investigative unit told the publication this.

According to the information received, approximately five criminal cases have been opened by the Kharkiv regional police. All are related to the attempts by a group of raiders led by Sergei Polumysny to seize APA Agrosvit LLC.

Information about Kharkiv police's inaction regarding the lawlessness occurring at Agrosvit facilities has previously appeared in the media.

Forceful seizures and armed attacks throughout the region, led by the well-known Levin and Polumysny, resulted in hundreds of police reports. But all legal proceedings related to them were strangely "frozen" by local investigators.

The impetus for the prosecutor's investigation remains unclear. It's possible that the key factor in this decision was the numerous inquiries to the agency's leadership from public organizations and members of parliament in defense of the legal owner of APA Agrosvit LLC, Alexander Bichuch.

As for Mr. Polumysny, the publication was unable to contact him. Representatives of Novaagro also declined to comment on the matter.

At the same time, the capital's lawyer Zablotsky commented on the situation.

"In my opinion, when the interests of one of the largest holdings in the Ukrainian agricultural sector are at stake, all procedural decisions should be made at a different level.

"It's no secret that 85% of local investigators have long since become 'pocket investigators.' Therefore, I personally believe this decision by the prosecutor's office is the first appropriate step by the security forces in this conflict," Zabolotsky noted.

As a reminder, experts previously estimated the damage to the Agrosvit company from corporate raiding attacks at 600 million hryvnias.
