Donetsk Oblast Deputy Governor Gennady Korban issued an ultimatum to President Petro Poroshenko demanding the dismissal of regional prosecutor Roman Fedyk.
Korban stated this to Ukrainska Pravda on Monday.
According to him, Fedyk is covering up for the organizers of the Euromaidan beatings on January 26, 2014, and has done nothing to combat electoral fraud in several districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
"I demand the immediate dismissal of the regional prosecutor. He's a titushka prosecutor. Not a single person who was beaten on January 26 in Dnipro will forgive Prosecutor Fedyk for not holding anyone criminally accountable, not a single titushka," Korban declared.
"The titushka prosecutor Fedyk has completely sold out to Vilkul and the Opposition Bloc. Specifically, he turned a blind eye to the massive, cynical falsifications in the 38th, 31st, and 32nd constituencies, where the alleged winners and rigged the results favored the candidates who orchestrated the Euromaidan massacre on January 26, 2014," Korban stated.
"In doing so, Prosecutor Fedyk, bribed by Vilkul, dealt a slap in the face to the Petro Poroshenko Bloc and all democratic forces. Because the results in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which defended its country with all its might, were rigged in favor of the opposition bloc," he added.
"In this regard, I demand that the president make his choice between me as deputy governor and Prosecutor Fedyk," Korban said.
According to him, even during the preparation for the elections and during the elections, they contacted the prosecutor's office regarding violations of electoral legislation, mass bribery, and widespread falsifications.
"At the same time, the prosecutor's office did not open a single case and refused to initiate any criminal proceedings against all pro-democratic forces," he added.
“Fedik ignores the administration and, throughout his tenure, has maintained a destructive stance toward the government,” Korban added.
"He also said that he personally called Yarema two months ago and asked him to fire Fedyk. There was no response, because Yarema is just as much of a scumbag as Fedyk. So, write that today I'm ashamed to look into the eyes of those who defended the country and those who gave their lives to defend the country and the Dnipropetrovsk region," he said.
As is known, in district No. 38, based on the results of the counting of 94% of the protocols, the deputy of the Dnipropetrovsk regional council from the Party of Regions, Vadim Nesterenko, is in the lead.
In constituency No. 31, based on the results of processing almost 94% of the votes, the current people's deputy, member of the Party of Regions faction, Konstantin Pavlov, is in the lead.
In district No. 32, after processing 26% of the protocols, Andriy Galchenko, deputy mayor of Kryvyi Rih and father of Oleksandr Vilkul, Yuriy Vilkul, is in the lead.
