Today, the government removed the head of the State Export Control Service, Yuriy Tereshchenko, from his post.

Yesterday, President Petro Poroshenko sent a letter to the Cabinet of Ministers demanding that they not reinstate the head of the State Employment Service, Yaroslav Kashuba, and the deputy director of the State Expertise Department of the State Service for Expert Control, Serhiy Golovaty. These officials had previously been caught accepting large bribes.

On the basis of this same letter, Tereshchenko was also removed, since Poroshenko wrote about instances of corruption in his recent biography.

The other two, Kashuba and Golovaty, were caught accepting bribes totaling 662 hryvnias and $250. However, Kashuba's case is still pending in court, meaning he is technically entitled to be reinstated, which he is attempting to do.
