Andriy Bondaruk, the former head of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Volyn Oblast, who activists accused of persecuting Automaidan activists during the Maidan protests, has been re-certified for the new National Police. This decision was made on February 8, 2016, according to sources at the Volyn Investigation Agency.
Mr. Bondaruk is currently reportedly working as the head of the preventive activities department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Volyn Oblast. Bondaruk was also re-certified for this position.
During the vote, three representatives of public organizations voted for his mandatory polygraph test, while three representatives of police agencies signed on to his certification without a polygraph. Since the chair of the certification committee was an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, his vote was decisive, and Andriy Bondaruk passed his re-certification with the National Police.
