The Prosecutor General's Office (GPU) failed to seize $150 found on Deputy Head of the State Labor Service Bardonov.

However, the court refused to seize $150, which allegedly belongs to the suspect's father-in-law. This is evidenced by the ruling of the Pechersky District Court dated August 8, 2016. Our money.

As a reminder, on July 16, 2016, Mikhail Bardonov was arrested while accepting a bribe. According to pre-trial investigation materials, the funds were intended to cover up the case in court regarding violations discovered during an inspection of the activities of the Joint Ukrainian-German Venture, Technical Supervision Society DIEX. In March of this year, the State Labor Service, after inspecting DIEX, banned it from all operations. DIEX filed a lawsuit to overturn the inspection report and the State Labor Service's order.

However, according to investigators, in May 2016, the deputy head of the State Labor Service demanded a bribe of 200 hryvnias from DIEKS to resolve the problems. The official received the first installment of 100 hryvnias on June 23, 2016. The second installment was to be delivered to Bardonov on July 16, 2016. The official was detained upon receiving the funds.

On August 8, the court seized Bardonov's property: a quarter of his apartment, a car, four gold bars, $2,150, and 111,000 hryvnias. $150,000 was also found at Bardonov's residence. However, Bardonov's lawyer stated that this money belonged to his father-in-law, given to the suspect's wife against a receipt. Bardonov's wife and father-in-law, who were interviewed, confirmed that the $150,000 did not belong to the suspect. Therefore, the court did not seize these funds.
