The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has charged First Deputy Finance Minister Anatoly Myarkovskiy with embezzlement of public funds during the construction of a dedicated telecommunications network. This was announced at a briefing by Prosecutor General Vitaliy Yarema, according to an RBC-Ukraine correspondent.
“Today, suspicions have been prepared and some people have already been charged with committing this crime, in particular, former President Yanukovych, former Prime Minister Azarov, and former Minister of Finance Kolobov“The current First Deputy Minister of Finance, Myarkovsky, has already been placed on suspicion,” Yarema stated.
According to him, it has now been established that between October 2010 and July 2013, the fourth President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, in prior conspiracy with a group of individuals, in particular with then Prime Minister Azarov, Minister of Finance Kolobov, Myarkovsky, head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection Gennady Reznikov, member of the supervisory board of Ukrtelecom Serhiy Dzenik and director of the company ESU Ilya Solodovsky, abused their official position, acted contrary to state interests, and deliberately, for selfish motives, organized the financing from the state budget of the execution of works on the construction of a dedicated telecommunications network for special communications, which, according to the terms of the privatization of Ukrtelecom and the purchase and sale agreements of March 11, 2011, was to be carried out at the expense of the owners of ESU.
Let us recall that Yanukovych appointed Myarkovsky as the first deputy head of the Ministry of Finance in December 2010.
