According to the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, former Minister of Revenue and Duties Oleksandr Klymenko is not in Ukraine. However, authorities are prepared to arrest him as soon as he appears here.

According to the head of the GPU's special investigations department, Sergei Gorbatyuk, Klimenko is on Russian territory, although the ex-minister stated that he had arrived in UkraineIn turn, Gorbatyuk stated that the Russian side is ignoring appeals from the Prosecutor General's Office.

As a reminder, the Prosecutor General's Office suspects Klymenko of embezzling over 6 billion hryvnias in budget funds through tax evasion. According to the agency, Klymenko organized several companies that cleared goods through customs in Ukraine, understating their customs value and falsifying documents.

The former minister is also suspected of tax evasion through the use of cash-out structures.

Furthermore, Klymenko is suspected of encroaching on the country's territorial integrity. On September 16, he was summoned for questioning, and yesterday, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv granted permission to conduct a pre-trial investigation into the case.
