Yesterday, September 29, the Prosecutor General's Office (GPU) completed its pre-trial investigation into the former head of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. He is suspected of involvement in the deaths and injuries of Euromaidan protesters.
The official's name has not yet been released. However, it has been noted that this individual acted as part of a group tasked with dispersing the Maidan protests. This group included former officials. This group carried out a criminal order on February 18, 2014, when the decision was made to conduct an anti-terrorist operation in Kyiv.
The suspect was remanded in custody as a preventive measure.
Let us recall that the investigation into those who gave the orders to disperse the Euromaidan is ongoing, but so far almost no one has been punished.
