The partner of military prosecutor Kostyantyn Kulik purchased a luxury Toyota Land Cruiser 200 SUV worth 1,21 million hryvnias, reporting a monthly income of only 140 hryvnias, according to Nashi Groshi.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) filed a petition to the court requesting investigators access to documentation on the purchase of expensive cars by Iryna Nemets and the military prosecutor's mother, Svetlana Kulik.
That same year, Kulik's family reportedly purchased another Toyota RAV4, which in 2014 was officially sold at a dealership for 459 hryvnias. This crossover is registered to the military prosecutor's mother, Svetlana Kulik.
An interesting fact is that Konstantin Kulik and Irina Nemets are not officially married. However, she is the mother of their children, and they share an apartment with the official. Naturally, Mr. Kulik did not list the property belonging to his common-law wife under the "Family Members" section of his 2014 declaration.
It is known that the SUVs were paid for in cash. Iryna Nemets's official income in 2014, when the vehicles were purchased, was only 1687 hryvnias per year, or approximately 140 hryvnias per month. Over the past 10 years, Nemets has earned 111,962 hryvnias.
In 2014, military prosecutor Konstantin Kulik demonstrated ownership of a three-room apartment in the elite Diptomat-Hall residential complex, measuring 249,3 square meters, and his official salary as a military prosecutor.
The prosecutor's common-law wife, Irina Nemets, also purchased property in the same residential complex in the capital: a non-residential building measuring 88 square meters and two garages measuring 21 and 14 square meters.
