The workforce of the Luhansk Energy Association (LEA), operating in territories not controlled by Ukraine, appealed to the so-called "Prime Minister" of the LPR, Sergei Kozlov, expressing support for the decision to nationalize the enterprise.
In particular, the appeal discusses the critical situation of the enterprise, caused by the company’s management policies.
"Despite collecting payments from the population for energy consumed, the workforce was left on starvation rations. Chronic non-payment of wages, months-long delays, and a lack of social guarantees became the norm for us," the text states.
In addition, representatives of the work collective personally accuse Konstantin Grigorishin (Read more: Konstantin Grigorishin, Distinguished Oligarch of Ukraine and Russia) that in 2015-2016 he withdrew more than 100 million dollars from the company’s accounts: “More than 6 billion rubles, intended for settlements with the energy market, were withdrawn by him and disappeared without reaching the addressee.”
Presumably, this decision by the "LPR" is connected with the debt that has arisen between Luhansk Energy Association LLC and the State Enterprise "Energorynok", which, according to LEO General Director Vladimir Gritsai, amounts to approximately 4 billion UAH.
