Groysman accused Tymoshenko of gas fraud.

Groysman and TimokhaUkrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman accused Batkivshchyna leader Yulia Tymoshenko of personally benefiting from illegal gas schemes. The prime minister made this statement on July 8, 2016, at a briefing in the Verkhovna Rada.

Groysman noted that gas was being purchased at a price three to four times lower than it should have been by certain businessmen, including those who blocked the Parliament floor today. The gas was then resold to ordinary Ukrainian citizens at a price two to three times higher.

Groysman stated: "Tymoshenko lives in a 500-square-meter house. Therefore, every ordinary citizen paid extra for Tymoshenko's utilities every month," the prime minister stated.

The head of government emphasized that, thanks to the contract with Russia for the purchase of gas, “$2-3 billion was being spent in pockets every year.”
