VTB Group is ready to sell its business in Ukraine, but there is no buyer.

VTBVTB Bank Supervisory Board member Sergei Dubinin announced that shareholders are ready to sell their Ukrainian subsidiary, BM Bank, but are unable to find a buyer. This was reported by several Ukrainian media outlets.

Dubinin noted that they have been seeking a buyer for the Ukrainian VM Bank for some time now, as the financial institution lacks the necessary conditions for its normal operation. If a buyer is not found soon, their Ukrainian asset will begin to suffer losses.

A member of the supervisory board emphasized that their group no longer views the Ukrainian structures as strategically important parts of the business, as economic ties between the former partners (Ukraine and Russia, ed.) are being severed.

As a reminder, the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, acting on instructions from the National Security and Defense Council, imposed a series of sanctions against Russian legal entities. BM Bank was included in these sanctions.
