Acting head of Ukrzaliznytsia Maksym Blank's car was set on fire on the night of March 24-25. The head of the state-owned enterprise wrote about this on his Facebook page. He also stated that the incident "won't stop" him.
As a reminder, on March 4, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk dismissed Southwestern Railways head Oleksiy Krivopishin from his duties and accused him of corruption.
On March 16, Ukrzaliznytsia CEO Blank appointed Vladimir Tyagulsky, the acting head of Southwestern Railways, after he was denied entry to his workplace by unknown individuals in camouflage. It later emerged that these guards reported to the suspended head of Southwestern Railways, Alexey Krivopishchin.
On March 19, Blank dismissed the management of Southwestern Railways, but Southwestern Railways refused to obey Blank. On March 23, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv issued a ruling suspending the orders signed by the acting general director of Ukrzaliznytsia on March 19.
As reported by LIGABusinessInform, Maksym Blank is preparing measures to regain control of the Southwestern Railway. While Blank did not elaborate on his next steps, he did mention the possibility of regaining control of the Southwestern Railway through force.
