Maksym Lutskyi has been reappointed Vice-Rector of the National Aviation University. Acting Rector Rimvydas Khraschevskyi has reinstated him.

The order appeared on the university's website today, but was signed yesterday. It's important to note that Lutsky is the godfather of former Education Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk (Read more about it in the article Dmitry and Mikhail Tabachnik. Brother for brother). According to the order, his salary was set at 4191 hryvnias per month, with a 25% bonus for his academic degree and another 33% for his academic title.

Lutsky was dismissed from NAU by the same Khrashchevsky on August 20. The dismissal order stated that Lutsky and several others had been appointed in violation of Ukrainian laws and contrary to the university's charter. It also noted that this had caused damage to the budget.

As a reminder, in 2006, Maksym Lutskyi became a member of parliament for the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, but shortly thereafter switched to the Party of Regions. In 2010, he was re-elected to parliament, and in 2011, he became head of the Science and Education Committee, becoming an associate of Tabachnyk.

In 2012, fortune turned against Lutsky – he did not get into the Rada, losing To Dmitry Andrievsky from the BYuT, and in the summer of 2014, he was already campaigning for Andrievskyi, as vice-rector of the National Aviation University. However, Andrievskyi himself stated that this was not campaigning.
