Former head of the Ministry of Health Raisa Bogatireva

Lawyer Dmitry Belyaev for the publication UN announced that Interpol has finally removed former minister Raisa Bogatyreva from its wanted list during the time of President Viktor Yanukovych.

According to Belyaev, in response to his request, Interpol decided back in August 2015 to suspend publication of his client's wanted list. This information was removed from the official website until a final decision was made on the merits of Bogatyreva's defense's complaint.

On August 12, 2016, the Interpol Commission issued a final decision refusing to conduct a search for Raisa Bogatyreva. Belyaev emphasized that all member countries have been notified of this decision and that no search is being conducted against his client.

The lawyer noted that he is the only politician from the Yanukovych era for whom Interpol has issued such a search warrant. The lawyer stated that he has a response from the Ukrainian Bureau of Interpol confirming that Bogatyreva has been permanently removed from the wanted list.
