Italy sealed the villas of Azarov's son.

Along with the property of Russian oligarch Arkady Rotenberg, the assets of Alexei Azarov, son of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov, were frozen in Italy.

This was stated in an official statement by the Guardia di Finanza, the security force of the Italian Ministry of Finance, which was obtained by ITAR-TASS.
Azarov owns assets in Italy managed by his Austrian group Garda Handels - und Beteiligungs GmbH, which controls the Italian company Agosto 2012 srl.
According to the agency, the sealed property includes villas and plots of land in Sardinia, in the vicinity of Olbia (Emerald Coast), the statement states.
The Financial Guard emphasizes that the actions taken against Alexei Azarov, who claims to be a Russian citizen, are related to an investigation opened against him in Ukraine into the theft of state funds and their illegal transfer outside the country.
As a reminder, it was announced on Tuesday that Italy had seized Arkady Rotenberg's villas in Sardinia and the businessman's hotel in Rome in connection with EU sanctions against Russia.
