How Kyiv City Council Deputy Banas is continuing Pylypyshyn's legacy

119394Kyiv City Council deputy Dmytro Banas, who was elected in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital on Tatarka Street, became famous in the local elections for bribing voters with honey and free haircuts.

Despite the fact that Dmytro Banas owns the construction company "MEGABUD," this did not prevent him from becoming a member of the Kyiv City Council's land commission, despite a clear conflict of interest.

In addition to his construction company, Banas also owns a chain of 19 hair salons throughout Kyiv. However, his declared income for 2015 was only 16 hryvnias. This appears to be a case of routine tax evasion. According to research conducted by the "Chesno" (Honestly) public movement, Banas lives below the poverty line and has joined the ranks of the homeless. Despite the fact that his declared assets are all zeros, Banas frequently hosts various celebrations and contests, handing out ice cream and expensive goods from the "Epicenter" supermarket to his constituents.

The question arises: who is Banas funding these events with singers and musicians when he himself is barely making ends meet? This serves as further evidence of the dirty schemes of deputies who receive money for illegal votes within the Kyiv City Council, and in return are given the opportunity to deceive the public under the guise of "festivities," free haircuts, and benches, all while exploiting administrative resources. Such "activities" serve primarily to convince the public that a deputy's primary responsibility is precisely this: distributing food rations, installing benches, and organizing concerts. How a deputy votes and for what purpose should be of no concern to the people who delegated their powers.

To find out where homeless Banas gets the money for his rations and "holidays," it's worth analyzing his voting habits. It turns out that during his nine months in office, both on the land commission and at Kyiv City Council sessions, Dmytro Banas has supported scandalous land allocations and illegal detailed plans for areas such as Tupolev 12, Rybalsky Island, Nikolskaya-Slobidka, and more.

He is also an assistant to MP Valeriy Ishchenko, who is linked to numerous illegal construction projects in the capital: near the Osokorki metro station, the Heroiv Dnepra metro station, and in the Berezniaky park at 6A Serafimovich Street...

Returning to the topic of rations, just as MP Viktor Pilipishin once generously provided the residents of the Shevchenkivskyi district with these, Dmytro Banas decided to continue this tradition.

It's worth noting that the same people who once zealously campaigned for Pilipishin and continue to wear his "Kyiani peredusim" (Kievites) bags continue to attend his "festivities."
