Advisor to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Anton Gerashchenko, released a video of voter bribery in one of Odessa's districts.
As reported by Censor.NET, he wrote about this on his Facebook page.
Gerashchenko writes: “Why did the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred die?
Watching a video recorded by an Odessa patriot while distributing packages bearing the inscription "I trust you. Dmitry Golubov," one cannot escape a feeling of disgust and revulsion toward this candidate for deputy from the Suvorovsky district and others like him, who seem to disregard the law and engage in banal vote-buying.
The bags, labeled "Trusted Business. Dmitry Golubov," contained a set of cheap Chinese bed linens.
The distribution of elephants and the materialization of spirits took place in Odessa at 60a Heroyiv Stalingradu Street, in the Zvezdny Cinema (some kind of déjà vu) on September 29th around 17:00 PM, after an evening dedicated to the memory of the famous singer Anna German, to which pensioners from all over the region were invited.
The bed linen distribution was also timed to coincide with Pensioners' Day, celebrated on October 1st. Around three hundred pensioners received the bedding, accepting it with childish, innocent smiles on their faces.
If we consider that a set of Chinese underwear costs about two hundred hryvnia, and there were about 300 pensioners, then the candidate for deputy handed out about 60 thousand hryvnia in 10 minutes!
How much charitable aid could this money buy for our army? Warm clothes, winter boots, food, and so on!
But no, they didn't go to strengthen Ukraine's defense, but to purchase and distribute bed linens and food to pensioners, thereby buying their trust and votes, getting elected to the Verkhovna Rada, and recouping the handouts a hundredfold by embezzling the budget and lobbying corrupt officials for high positions.
Yanukovych and his family fled Ukraine, but his legacy lives on!
This isn't the first time that goods have been distributed in bags bearing the logo of candidate Golubev. Last Saturday, Hromadske TV journalists caught him distributing grocery bags around Odesa bearing the logo of candidate Golubev, rather than those of Ivanov, Sidorov, or Petrov.
This video from Hromadske TV can be viewed at the link.
Although Golubev himself, in a comment to Hromadske journalists, stated that someone is trying to frame him—an honest and decent man, almost a saint—by holding mass distributions of food and bed linens under the guise of his name, while he has nothing to do with these handouts!
Do you believe this statement by candidate Golubev? I don't!
What kind of liar will this person become if he is elected to the Verkhovna Rada by Odesa residents? I don't call such deputies people's deputies, but anti-people's deputies. The Odesa Regional Department of Internal Affairs will conduct an investigation into the distribution of material goods to voters in the Suvorovsky District, and these facts will be legally assessed. There are more than enough video recordings from which it is possible to identify both those distributing and those receiving the bed linens.
The investigation and criminal proceedings under Article 157 of the Criminal Code will proceed as usual.
But what's scary is something else! Maidan hasn't changed the older generation so much that they've denied themselves the small joy of selling their vote for a pack of cookies and a jar of jam.
Maidan hasn't changed the candidates so much that they repeatedly seek to buy votes instead of convincing voters that they are worthy of being legislators based on their platform and life's work. I am convinced that holding the Verkhovna Rada elections without attempting to push through parliament a law on 100% proportional elections based on open lists was a mistake on the part of those forces and individuals who assumed responsibility for conducting them.
This is not why the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred died on the Maidan, nor why our soldiers have died and are dying in battle with Russian-fascist troops, so that dishonest candidates for deputy can again buy the votes of pensioners and the poor in order to get elected to the Verkhovna Rada and continue to plunder Ukraine!
I ask all patriots to continue the work they have begun to infiltrate the headquarters of dishonest candidates whose goal is to bribe voters.
We must expose candidates who violate the law, punish them and their accomplices according to the law, and prevent their election to the Verkhovna Rada!”
