The Ministry of Internal Affairs has officially placed Vladislav Kaskiv, former head of the State Agency for Investment and Management of National Projects of Ukraine, on the wanted list. Interior Minister Arsen Avakov wrote this on Facebook.
Kaskiv is accused of embezzling 7,5 million hryvnias of public funds in 2012-2013, which took place under a fictitious agreement with Gloria LLC. Kaskiv is currently wanted by court order, and his property has been seized.
Avakov did not specify whether Interpol would be looking for the former agency head, as he is currently hiding abroad. The minister noted that the 7,5 million hryvnia incident had already been proven, but other, much larger sums were also involved in the case. The Interior Minister did not disclose the exact amount of the embezzlement.
It should be noted that Kaskiv was the head of the agency since December 2010, and on February 23, 2012, he was stripped of his parliamentary powers.
