An internal audit conducted at the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) involving 33 inspections (19 scheduled and 14 unscheduled) from January to June 2016 revealed multiple violations and theft of public funds totaling UAH 670 million. As a result of the financial audits, 94 criminal proceedings were initiated, 16 notices of suspicion were issued to individuals responsible for violations, four wanted notices were filed, and indictments for six more criminal proceedings have been submitted to court. The remaining 28 cases are undergoing forensic examination.
In total, financial violations amounting to UAH 403,2 million were identified, along with material losses due to on-site violations and ineffective management decisions (UAH 270,8 million). On a positive note, losses of UAH 7,9 million were reported prevented overall, and approximately UAH 12,2 million were reported following an inspection of ongoing repair and construction work.
