On Thursday, dozens of Ukrainian media outlets received a message from the State Emergency Service about a critical mercury leak at Kyiv's Radikal plant and the evacuation of residents of the Dniprovskyi district of the capital.

This information is not true.

DNS press secretary Natalia Bystraya reported that the agency's mailbox was hacked and false information was sent from it.
"This information is not true. The information was sent from my personal email account, not the press service's," Bystraya reported.
According to her, at 12:24 p.m., the operational coordination center of the chairman of the DNS board received a message about a mercury leak at the Radical plant.
"Our specialists arrived on site, took air measurements, and surveyed the area. The air quality is within normal limits," she noted.
"There is information that people also received messages on their mobile phones about such a leak," Bystraya added.
Some users have already posted such messages on social networks.
