According to monitoring data from the Kyiv City State Administration's Department of Social Policy, as of August 29 of this year, wage arrears at 48 city enterprises amounted to UAH 61.5 million.
This was reported by the director of the Kyiv City State Administration's social policy department, Serhiy Bychkov, in a letter to Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
Of the specified debt amount, 89.4% (UAH 55 million) is owed by economically active enterprises; 9,3% (UAH 5.7 million) is owed by enterprises undergoing bankruptcy proceedings, and the remaining 1.3% (UAH 800 thousand) is owed by economically inactive enterprises.
As of August 29, 2014, 48 enterprises have outstanding debts, including:
— Public sector (31 enterprises) — UAH 50 million (81.3%)
— Non-governmental sector (16 enterprises) — 10 million UAH (16,7%)
— Utilities sector (1 enterprise) — UAH 1.1 million (1.8%)
In addition, wages for July of this year at Kyivpastrans remained unpaid in the amount of UAH 22.1 million.
