The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) reported this on its website.

According to the investigation, this month Mykytas offered the mayor of Dnipro "an unlawful benefit for concluding a contract with companies under his control to build a metro in Dnipro without a competitive bidding process."

According to NABU, Mykytas estimated the mayor's "loyalty" at 10% of the project's cost (220 million euros), which equates to 22 million euros. The project is being financed with a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Mykytas has already been detained, and the decision to notify him of suspicion is being made. The preliminary legal classification of the offense is under Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," the NABU reports.

The NABU bribery investigation was launched following a statement from Dnipro Mayor Filatov.

Mykytas is already linked to several criminal cases. For example, in 2020, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv arrested him for contract kidnapping and extortion of money from a capital lawyer.

And in September, a Kyiv court opened bankruptcy proceedings against the developer Ukrbud Development, which was owned by Mykytas.
