Igor Pikovsky
Igor Pikovsky has been appointed the new head of the Kyiv City Customs Office. He was introduced to the staff by Deputy Chairman of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Kostiantyn Likarchuk, the agency's press service reported.
It should be noted that Pikovsky has a rather interesting biography and is familiar with the customs and fiscal services firsthand, since from 2008 to 2010 he served as the first deputy chairman of the State Customs Service under Valery Khoroshkovsky and Anatoly Makarenko.
Last year, Pikovsky entered politics and was elected to the Kyiv City Council as a member of the UDAR-Solidarity party. In business, he partnered with Ukrainian MP Yuriy Ivanyushchenko.
Previously, in 2010, Igor Pikovsky acted as a co-founder of Genotest LLC (Yenakiyeve, Donetsk Oblast). The other co-founders were the companies "Financial Company Lider" and "Stavr." Interestingly, the first company, as established by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was founded by the aforementioned Ivanyushchenko's nephew. Its purpose was to acquire the Ordzhonikidze recreation center in the Svyatogorsk resort area.
It should be noted that at the beginning of Viktor Yanukovych's presidential rule, Yuriy Ivanyushchenko was considered the informal curator of customs.
In addition, Pikovsky chairs the supervisory board of Promsvyaz OJSC, which is headed by Oleg Bulgakov, who is also the director of Genotest. Promsvyaz OJSC itself was previously controlled by the VS Energy group, run by Russian businessmen Alexander Babakov and Evgeny Giner. They also own Kyivoblenergo and Odesaoblenergo.
Additionally, Pikovsky holds a stake in two Volyn companies: Shatsky Market LLC and Lyuboml-Rynok LLC. His wife and children are also founders of various firms, ranging from investment to trading and legal entities.
It's also worth noting that the aforementioned Yuriy Ivanyushchenko also has support in parliament. One of the members of parliament from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc in the parliamentary faction is Oleh Nedava, a former top manager of Ivanyushchenko's group. The member of parliament was also one of the signatories of the New Technologies Foundation, which, in turn, was headed by Ivanyushchenko's closest associate, Ivan Avramov.
