Incumbent Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has refused to participate in televised debates with his rival and Kyiv mayoral candidate, Boryslav Bereza. This information was revealed to UN by the Kyiv mayor's press secretary, Oksana Zinovieva.

Zinovieva noted that Klitschko has no intention of publicizing himself at the televised debates, nor will he allow anyone else to do so. The press secretary cited Klitschko's very busy schedule and catastrophic time constraints as the Kyiv mayor's reason for refusing to appear in the televised debate with Bereza.

As a reminder, following the first round of the Kyiv mayoral election, the Kyiv Territorial Election Commission scheduled a second round for November 15, 2015. According to the official first round results, Vitali Klitschko received the most votes. Second place went to the leader of the Party of Resolute Citizens and incumbent MP Boryslav Bereza.
