PJSC Ukrtatnafta, controlled by oligarch Kolomoisky, filed a lawsuit in Kyiv's Commercial Court seeking UAH 255,752 million from OJSC Ukrtransnafta. Acting CEO of the state-owned company, Roman Sydorak, reported this to UN.
Sydorak noted that Kolomoisky's company is seeking to recover a debt for the lease of the oil storage tanks. In addition to PJSC Ukrtatnafta, similar lawsuits have been filed by Naftokhimik Prykarpattia and NPK Halychyna (also owned by Kolomoisky).
In turn, Ukrtransnafta filed counterclaims to cancel the storage tank lease agreements, as Kolomoisky, when concluding the contracts, attempted to circumvent certain procedures requiring the approval of representatives of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
As a reminder, Kolomoisky's refineries store approximately 232,6 tons of oil, which belongs to the state-owned company Ukrtransnafta. The lease of these storage facilities costs the state 75 million hryvnias per month.
Legal proceedings between Kolomoisky's companies and Ukrtransnafta OJSC began after Oleksandr Lazorko, a man controlled by the oligarch, was removed from management of the state-owned company.
