Former Party of Regions member and loyal ally of Yanukovych's sons, Vitaliy Khomutynnik, has apparently adapted well to today's reality, pushing aside all his former partners, who are now on the run, and now resolving issues with slightly different people in order to stay "on top."
SLED.net.ua recently reported on the latest developments of the former "grey cardinal" of the State Fiscal Service, Vitaliy Khomutynnik, and his acquisitions in terms of decision-makers. As a reminder, on January 30, Petro Poroshenko issued a decree dismissing the old "Akhmetov-era" staff of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission and appointing new leadership. Timur Khromayev was appointed head of the commission, and Dmytro Tarabakin became a member—people who are quite close to Khomutynnik. While they previously resolved their issues through the young "schemer" and handled his securities market transactions, now Khomutynnik has the opportunity to "sort out" his own affairs with them.
Rumors that Khomutynnik has recently, as they say in the oligarchic circles, "surrendered himself completely" to Ihor Kolomoisky appear to be confirmed. SLED.net.ua presents the contents of a recent phone conversation between Khomutynnik and Kolomoisky about the "fixer" in the Verkhovna Rada, whose name Khomutynnik is using to "build up" the speaker of parliament, and what he is reporting to his new patron.
