The schedule of power outages and how natural monopolies (oblenergos) implement them is analyzed.
Andriy Gerus, a member of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NKREKU), is outraged that DTEK Dniprooblenergo is restricting power supplies to certain consumers while excluding companies from its SCM Group from its rationing schedule, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"I analyzed the power outage schedule and how natural monopolies (oblenergos) implement them. It turns out that Dniprooblenergo (SCM) reduced consumption for ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (formerly Kryvorizhstal) to 60% of the daily norm, but the Northern Mining and Processing Plant (GOK), Central GOK, and Pavlogradugol (all SCM) are completely absent from the emergency outage schedule," he writes on his Facebook page.
A. Gerus considers this approach unacceptable.
"Friends, with this approach, foreign investors won't come to Ukraine; if we tighten our belts, it will affect everyone, not just our competitors. I hope DTEK Dniprooblenergo will keep its promises and make the appropriate changes to its operations," the NEURC member concluded.
