Yanukovych's company will enrich coal without competition for UAH 61 million.

the hand rakes in the doughOn April 4, 2016, the Krasnoarmeyskugol state-owned enterprise entered into an agreement with Oleksandr Yanukovych's company, PAO Komsomolskaya Central Processing Plant, to carry out coal enrichment work. The cost of the work is UAH 61 million, as reported in the State Procurement Bulletin.

The cost of coal enrichment is reported to be 65 UAH/t. The agreement was signed through a negotiated process, as it had previously been canceled twice due to the lack of any competitor to Yanukovych's company. A shareholder of Komsomolskaya Coal Processing Plant OJSC is DRFC LLC, a company from Yanukovych Jr.'s group. The latter is owned by Sarone Holdings Limited, an offshore company based in the Virgin Islands.

In March 2016, the Komsomolskaya Central Processing Plant lost the bid for coal enrichment services for Yuzhnodonbasskaya Mine No. 3. Andrey Orlov's company, Obogatitel, won the tender with a price of 58 UAH per ton.
