The Kyiv Improvement Municipal Enterprise is in a panic over Ukrop's disclosure of information about the capital's kiosks.

The management of the Kyiv Improvement Municipal Enterprise accuses the Ukrop service of theft and convinces Kyiv residents that the Kyiv authorities did not conceal data about the kiosks.
Yesterday, November 20, the leadership of the Kyiv Improvement Municipal Enterprise (Kyivblagoustoystvo) unfoundedly accused the online service Ukrop of theft and attempted to convince Kyiv residents that the Kyiv authorities had never concealed data about the kiosks. Ukrop project director Vladimir Levin believes that officials are likely spouting such nonsense out of fear of publicity.

As KV previously reported, the online service "Ukrop" has launched in Kyiv. It can help entrepreneurs resist corruption and bureaucracy and better navigate the crisis. Furthermore, Ukrop's management, whose electronic database already includes over 10 small architectural forms of varying legality in Kyiv, promised on November 17 to provide access to this data to all Ukrainian media outlets.

Apparently, the latter is what caused the capital's relevant officials to become very worried, as evidenced by a publication on the website of the Kyiv Improvement Enterprise.

Thus, the leadership of the Kyiv City State Administration, without thinking twice, accused "Ukrop" of stealing part of a municipal electronic kiosk database, which had allegedly been in operation for several years in the Kyiv City State Administration's Department of Urban Development. This portion of the department's electronic database, according to officials, allegedly disappeared after a hacker attack on the electronic database of the Kyiv City State Administration's Department of Urban Development and Architecture.

And the funniest part is this: the Kyivbeauty department claimed that the "robbed base" was allegedly "prepared by specialists from the Kyivbeauty department, the Kyiv City State Administration's Department of Beautification, and the Kyiv City State Administration's Department of Urban Development and Architecture for opening in a form accessible to Kyiv residents."
As KV has written numerous times, Kyiv authorities have always kept their electronic databases of small architectural forms "under lock and key," which has made the temporary structures sector in Kyiv corrupt and left entrepreneurs and Kyiv residents completely powerless in this regard.

Volodymyr Levin, head of the Ukrop project, told KV that he was greatly surprised by the message on the Kyiv Improvement Municipality website. He said it was complete nonsense, but was pleased that Kyiv officials had thus indirectly acknowledged that Ukrop's electronic kiosk database was accurate.

"The whole point is that officials are always preparing to make such a database publicly available. Personally, I, like millions of Kyiv residents, have never seen anything like this publicly available; I've only heard about it out of the corner of my ear. Why would we steal anything if our system works on the simple principle of photographing a QR code attached to a kiosk with a mobile phone equipped with special software and a GPS module? Thus, the temporary structure is displayed on an electronic map with geolocation coordinates. The same applies, incidentally, to trading spaces in markets and shopping centers, which are also included in our database in exactly the same way. Who, I wonder, stole the database of Kyiv markets and shopping centers from? :)," says Levin.
According to the head of the Ukrop project, fear of publicity is likely what forces Moscow officials to stoop to the level of slander.

"On the other hand, since officials have been robbed once again, let them receive free access to Ukrop from us, as we propose, and use the system to make sound management decisions in the trade sector from now on. The only thing that could prevent this is the desire of some officials to endlessly write off budget funds to create something like Ukrop, and the reluctance to end up with a new generation of entrepreneurs who will forget how to pay bribes for everything," Vladimir Levin concluded.
