KSG Bank has come under SBU scrutiny.

SBUAs it became known from open sources, the SBU is initiating a comprehensive audit of the financial institution KSG Bank, one of whose co-owners (with a share of 16,39%), Alexander Shepelev, is implicated in a scandalous embezzlement case at Rodovid Bank, as well as a series of murders. According to reports dating back to last year, he was detained in the Russian Federation, and his subsequent fate is unknown.
It is quite possible that it was the involvement of this former MP that led to the Deposit Guarantee Fund for Individuals (DGF) in every possible way refusing to participate in the procedure, citing the fact that “…the Deposit Guarantee Fund for Individuals does not have the authority to conduct a documentary audit of the bank regarding the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of the accrual and payment of taxes, fees (mandatory payments), as well as compliance with currency and other legislation, but only has the right to conduct an audit of the bank to monitor the fulfillment of its obligations in connection with participation in the deposit guarantee system for individuals…”.
But even the Deposit Guarantee Fund's appeal to the court was of no avail: the Pechersky District Court (Kyiv) ruled in its decision of June 6, 2016, that "...it appears to be an attempt by the latter to appeal the ruling of the investigating judge of the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv dated March 11, 2016, through extra-procedural means and amend its content. Under these circumstances, the Deposit Guarantee Fund's application for clarification of the ruling of the investigating judge of the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv dated March 11, 2016, should be denied..."
Apparently, the Deposit Guarantee Fund will seek other ways to evade its responsibilities, but the true reasons why they stubbornly refuse to comply with the SBU's recommendations are still unknown.
