MP Vitaliy Kupriy ( more about him in the article " Vitaliy Kupriy. Kolomoisky's Shavka Received an Order to Eliminate Poroshenko ") wrote on his Facebook page that, as a result of his appeal, the Prosecutor General's Office opened proceedings against the head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Artem Sytnyk, who is suspected of abuse of power or official position.
Vitaliy Kupriy noted that First Deputy Prosecutor General Yuriy Sevruk ordered a pre-trial investigation against Artem Sytnyk under Part 1 of Article 364 (abuse of power or official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
We previously reported that Artem Sytnyk was on a business trip to the UK and included his wife, Anna Sytnyk, in the delegation. In addition, Irina Danko, an advisor to the head of JSCB, was also part of the Ukrainian delegation. Following this scandal, Sytnyk initially claimed that his wife was included in the official delegation, but the head of JSCB subsequently denied this information, claiming that his wife had flown to England at her own expense.
Deputy Kupriy promised on his social media page to shed light on new developments in this high-profile case: "Let all officials, old and new, know that they will be held accountable to society and the law for corruption."
