Once again, truth-seeking MP Serhiy Leshchenko, already well known for his scandalous (but completely baseless and unsubstantiated) "exposés," has come forward with yet another accusation. This time, it's directed against a US citizen, Donald Trump's campaign manager (Paul Manafort). According to Mr. Leshchenko, he has documents from the Party of Regions' "slush fund," which document the former Yanukovych adviser receiving $3,5 million.
As evidence, the MP published an image showing a handwritten amount, Manafort's first and last name, and an illegible signature. This information has already received comments, including from representatives of the Party of Regions, who are convinced it is a forgery and counterfeit. Indeed, from a common sense perspective, it is very difficult to assume that a US citizen was offered and counted out cash in a non-round amount ($3,468,693), which he loaded into a suitcase weighing approximately 35 kilograms and took with him.
Moreover, Rinat Akhmetov personally brought Paul into the Party of Regions, so it would be strange to see him paid from the party's coffers, rather than through offshore companies or lending schemes, through which he could easily launder such a substantial "fee." And the fact that even the untrained eye can see that the receipt was written by the same hand, and in Russian, doesn't inspire confidence in the "document."

Leshchenko himself is full of optimism and broadcasts: "The barn book of the Party of Regions! New documents! Paul Manafort in Yanukovych's shadow accounting department! Tomorrow, copies of the pages will be published first before the transfer of funds to Manafort. Come to Friday the 19th at about 9:00 at my briefing at the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center. In the photo is a receipt about the transfer of 3,5 million dollars by Yanukovych to Manafort in 2012.”
