On the Hromadske TV channel, BPP MP Serhiy Leshchenko announced that Arseniy Yatsenyuk had resigned as prime minister at the request of Petro Poroshenko, Rinat Akhmetov, and Ihor Kolomoisky.
"Yatsenyuk's resignation is now a pure form of 'fixed bargaining,' where the oligarchs and the president sat at a roundtable to find a format for a new government that would satisfy everyone," noted Sergei Leshchenko.
The MP stated that the "deal" between the President of Ukraine and Kolomoisky could result in a restructuring of PrivatBank's liabilities and a compromise on Ukrnafta's obligations. The president may have reached an agreement with Akhmetov on a number of energy companies. According to Leshchenko, a plan is already being prepared for Akhmetov's group to buy out state-owned shares in companies in which the oligarch holds a controlling stake.
This is confirmed by the fact that Igor Kononenko's assistant has recently been working as a deputy head of the State Property Fund.
"This could explain why Yatsenyuk resigned, freeing up space for an agreement in the Akhmetov-Poroshenko-Yatsenyuk triangle," the MP concluded.
As a reminder, on April 10, 2016, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk resigned. Parliament is scheduled to consider this decision on April 12.
