As reported by Skhem journalist Mykhailo Tkach, MP Serhiy Lyovochkin (former head of the presidential administration of Viktor Yanukovych – Read more: Levochkin. "The Gray Cardinal" and his sister), apparently ordered his security detail to prevent reporters from working normally by any means necessary. The incident, which involved brute force, took place at the airport, where camera crews were filming the landing of a plane arriving from Vienna. Media workers are outraged by the incident and have publicly demanded that the MP explain himself at the next session of the Verkhovna Rada.
Mikhail Tkach, a victim of the security guards' actions, wrote the following on his Facebook page:
"At the VIP terminal of Zhulyany Airport, security guards used physical force to prevent me from filming the landing of a private jet used by MP and former head of the Yanukovych administration, Serhiy Lyovochkin... pushing and covering the camera lens with their hands, the guards prevented me from filming people exiting the plane and the VIP terminal..."
