Poroshenko Corporation's Roshen factory in Lipetsk has fully restored production.

Roshen's Lipetsk factory, a subsidiary of the confectionery corporation of the same name, has fully resumed production. Roshen Russia Deputy General Director Oleg Kazakov told TASS this.

The Russian company Roshen is part of the Ukrainian confectionery corporation Roshen, whose shareholder is Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

It was previously reported that the Lipetsk factory suspended operations for two weeks on September 15 due to a buildup of product in warehouses, as both retail chains and the region's residents are refusing to buy Lipetsk-produced goods. According to management plans, several production lines were scheduled to resume operations on September 29, with others scheduled for September 30 and October 1. On September 29, the company postponed the launch of the first production lines to October 7, with the remaining production restarting on October 13 and 20.
Other cases of factory shutdowns
The factory already suspended operations in March of this year. A lawsuit filed by the Russian holding company United Confectioners was cited as a possible reason.
In 2010, the holding company began legal proceedings against all Russian confectionery manufacturers for using former Soviet trademarks. As previously reported by representatives of the Lipetsk Roshen factory, United Confectioners accused the company of using their trademarks for the "Lastochka-Pevunya" (Little Swallow).

The Lipetsk production facility of Poroshenko's confectionery company Roshen has resumed operations.
In the spring of 2014, factory CEO Taisiya Voronina told TASS that Roshen's Lipetsk branch had ceased production of the disputed products, but lawsuits had been filed against the company. The claims totaled 2,4 billion rubles, "which is unprecedented in the Russian confectionery industry," she noted. The factory later resumed operations.
Roshen Corporation acquired shares in the Lipetsk confectionery factory in 2001. The factory produces several types of caramel, toffee, jelly candies, toffee, and cookies. Products are manufactured at two sites: Lipetsk and the village of Sentsovo in the Lipetsk region. According to Roshen, the company's market share in the Russian Federation is approximately 7%.
