During the Verkhovna Rada's conciliation council meeting, several MPs received summonses from the Prosecutor General's Office. The summonses were intended to be handed to Vadym Novinsky, Oleksandr Vilkul, and Natalia Korolevska from the Opposition Bloc faction, according to BPP leader Yuriy Lutsenko.
According to him, all three MPs fail to appear in response to summonses delivered to their homes.
Vasyl Smikh, head of the Main Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, was given the floor during the conciliation council meeting, after which he announced that he had brought a subpoena for Deputy Novinskyi, summoning him for questioning. Verkhovna Rada Speaker Volodymyr Groysman stated that the MP was not present, then denied the Interior Ministry representative the floor and asked him to leave the meeting. It remains unknown whether Vilkul and Korolevska were served with subpoenas.
Law enforcement officials have not yet made any official comments on this matter. The Verkhovna Rada also has not commented on the situation.
