The Radical Party faction plans to file a lawsuit today to force President Petro Poroshenko to submit candidates for new Central Election Commission members to a parliamentary vote.

As party leader Oleh Lyashko stated at the Verkhovna Rada's conciliation council, his fellow party members are demanding the removal of those who previously worked there during Viktor Yanukovych's presidency and who continue to do so today from the Central Election Commission. Lyashko also demanded the adoption of an impeachment law and constitutional amendments to abolish parliamentary immunity.

It should be noted that the radicals targeted: Andrey Magera, Mikhail Okhendovsky (Read more about it in the article Mikhail Okhendovsky: What is the new "Pidrahuy" keeping quiet about?), Bronislav Raikovsky, Zhanna Usenko-Chernaya, Oleksandr Chupakhin, and Valeriy Sheludko, who were reappointed to the Central Election Commission from the previous commission. Thus, they have effectively held their positions for over eight years. Last fall, Poroshenko attempted to change the composition of the Central Election Commission and submitted a motion to appoint Svetlana Kustova as a new commission member, but the motion was unsuccessful.
