By order of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine dated July 10, 2014, Demin was appointed rector of the National Academy of the Prosecutor's Office.
Yuriy Demin fell under the Law of Ukraine "On the Purification of Power" in connection with his position as Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine from August 2012 to July 2014.
Yuri Demin worked in the prosecutor's office for 22 years.
As a reminder, Demin is the son of former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Mykhailo Potebenko (who headed the Prosecutor General's Office from July 17, 1998 to April 30, 2002). Furthermore, Yuriy Demin served as deputy to fugitive Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka. For a time, he headed the Main Directorate for Personnel Provision of the Prosecutor General's Office.
