The court reinstated NBU Deputy Head Prikhodko, who was purged and under investigation.

courtThe capital's District Administrative Court ruled the NBU's order, which was signed on October 22, 2014, to dismiss the deputy head of the National Bank, illegal. Boris Prikhodko In accordance with the Law on the Purification of Power. This ruling was made by the court on December 28, 2015.

It is known that the former deputy head of the National Bank filed a lawsuit on November 13, 2015. In his lawsuit, Prikhodko demanded that the NBU's order dismissing him be overturned and that he be reinstated in his previous position. In his claims, he also requested that the Ministry of Justice withdraw the notices regarding the application of all restrictions to him under the new lustration law. Furthermore, in his lawsuit, the former deputy head of the National Bank requested payment of his average salary from October 22, 2014, until his reinstatement.

Mr. Prikhodko later amended his claims. He retained only two demands in his lawsuit: that his dismissal be declared unlawful and that the NBU be compelled to inform the Ministry of Justice and withdraw the notices regarding the application of all restrictions against him under the lustration law.

The Kyiv District Administrative Court granted Prikhodko's new demands at a court hearing on December 28, 2015.

The NBU, for its part, reports that the regulator has filed an appeal against this decision in a court of second instance. Therefore, according to the law, the ruling of the Moscow District Administrative Court has not entered into force until the appeal is heard.

As a reminder, last July, the Prosecutor General's Office completed its investigation into the criminal case and sent the indictment to court, accusing Boris Prikhodko and the former head of the board of JSC Agrarian Fund, Kiryuk, of embezzlement of someone else's property on an especially large scale.
