Mikhail Gashev
Mikhail Gashev has been appointed advisor to Energy Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn. The appointment took place during a meeting, according to the Rivne NPP press service.
It should be noted that Gashev was dismissed in October 2014 by a Cabinet of Ministers decision as part of the implementation of the "lustration law." It is also worth noting that it was Gashev who, in 2012, banned the use of American Westinghouse nuclear fuel rods at the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant after damage was discovered in the TVS-W assemblies.

Mikhail Khazretalievich Gashev was born on September 17, 1969, in the village of Hremyach in the Cherkasy region. He studied at the Kyiv Polytechnic University, graduating in 1993. Until 2007, he worked at the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant. On June 20 of that year, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Nuclear Regulation of Ukraine by decision of the Cabinet of Ministers. In this position, Gashev also served as Chief State Inspector for Nuclear and Radiation Safety.
